St. Louis Flight News Release

St. Louis, MO. The ABA St. Louis Flight professional basketball team that resumes play in November today announced that former NBA star Cliff Levingston will return as Head Coach. According to team co-owner Larry Strickland, "We are extremely pleased to have Cliff back with us. He did a great job last year under some difficult circumstances - and we have no doubt that he will put together a very strong and competitive team this season. He's a winner."

Levingston was originally drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 1982 in the first round, the 9th player picked. After playing two years with Detroit, he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks where he played for six years before going to the Chicago Bulls and plahying on both the 1990-91 and 1991-1992 NBA Championship teams. He retired in 1995 after a season with the Denver Nuggets and began his coaching career, including a stint with the Harlem Globetrotters prior to joining the ABA with the St. Louis Flight. According to Levingston , "The talent in the ABA is truly outstanding; these players can play and they play with passion as they hope to move up to the NBA. That's why every ABA game is so exciting; the players give 100% all the time. I'm looking forward to the challenge again."

Tryouts will be announced shortly. For more information, contact Coach Levingston at news531@yahoo.com, Larry Strickland at sssports@hotmail.com or visit www.abalive.com.
