
News Extreme To Take On In-State Rival Slaughter

BLOOMINGTON (Ill.) - The Bloomington Extreme will look to build of its first victory of the season when they travel to Hoffman Estates, Ill., to take on division-rival, Chicago Slaughter. The game will be held at the Sears Centre Arena with kick-off set for 2:05 p.m. Sunday.
The Extreme (1-1) are coming of a win last Saturday against the Green Bay Blizzard 24-20. Quarterback Luke Drone led the way for Bloomington. He was 13-27 for 134 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also led the team with 26 yards rushing and one touchdown. Wide receiver Johnny Gray caught five passes for 72 yards and what turned out to be the game- winning touchdown with 17 seconds remaining in the game.
The Slaughter (0-2) dropped their first road game of the year, as they lost to the Richmond Revolution 30-25 last Saturday. In his first game with the Slaughter, quarterback Aries Nelson scored on two rushing touchdowns and threw an eight-yard touchdown to wide receiver De'Cody Fagg. Running back Jarrett Payton ran the ball eight times for 29 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown. Payton also added three catches for 24 yards.
