NEWARK, NJ, September 24—Newark Bears outfielder Keith Maxwell has been selected to the 2004 Atlantic League Post Season All Star Team, it was announced today by the league. Maxwell is the only member of the Bears to receive league-wide post season recognition this year.

The 29 year-old Maxwell led the Atlantic League in home runs this season, crushing a career-high 30. He also ranked 4th in the league with a slugging percentage of .561 and 6th with 49 extra-base hits.

"Keith is very deserving of this recognition," said Bears Senior Vice President and General Manager Dean Rivera. "His numbers speak for themselves; but it was Keith's attitude and effort that really stood out to me this season."

Overall Maxwell batted .292 while playing in a team-high 110 games in 2004. His 84 runs-batted-in and 79 runs scored both were team-leading numbers this past season.
