New York Sports Clubs Renews Sponsorship with the New York Power

New York, NY - The New York Power have announced that the New York Sports Clubs (NYSC) has renewed its sponsorship for the 2003 season, continuing as the official health club of the Power.

For the second straight year, the Power will use the New York Sports Clubs facilities as the team's workout destination. With a new coaching staff and addition of a newly created strength and conditioning coach, the Power will put an emphasis on the use of a training facility such as New York Sports Clubs to enhance the player's performance for the 2003 season.

"We are very excited to continue this relationship with New York Sports Clubs," said Power GM Susan Marenoff. "Our athletes are only accustomed to the best in terms of facilities and venues - New York Sports Clubs certainly provides that."

In recognition of this partnership, the team will hold a training session on March 6 at 10:00 am at the NYSC located on 44th Street and 5th Avenue and will be working out on a regular basis at the Mineola location throughout the pre-season and regular season. Members of the Power will be previewing NYSC's new "Club Kick" class, a multi-level class that combines the training philosophies of boxing, kickboxing and martial arts in an interval-training based cardiovascular workout set to tribal-based rhythms. The "Club Kick" class will be led by Yvonne Bridges, a former Golden Gloves Champion.
