New York Red Bulls II (8-6-4, 30 pts.) fall to Philadelphia Union II (7-8-4, 27 pts.) 2-1 at Subaru Park.
Philadelphia opened the scoring in the fourth minute, when Stefan Stojanovic found the back of the net for the early lead.
New York tied the match from the penalty spot in the 80th minute, with Ibrahim Kasule calmly placing the ball past the Philadelphia keeper.
Just two minutes later, Philadelphia regained their lead off the foot of Luciano Sanchez off a breakaway.
The goal from Kasule was his club-leading eighth in nine matches.
The Ugandan midfielder set a club record by scoring in his fifth consecutive match, passing Stefano Bonomo and Brandon Allen, who had scored in four straight.
Kasule ranks second among MLS NEXT Pro midfielders in goals and is tied for third league wide.
The midfielder is now 100% from the penalty spot this season, scoring in all four of his attempts so far.
