Red Bull New York II (13-10-5, 46 pts.) falls 2-1 to Huntsville City FC (12-10-6, 44 pts.) on Sunday afternoon at MSU Soccer Park.

After a scoreless opening half, Huntsville opened the scoring in the 48th minute when Moisés Véliz found Zidane Yáñez, who gave the visitors the lead.

In the 81st minute, Yáñez linked up with substitute Malachi Molina, who found the back of the net to double Huntsville's advantage.

In the 90th minute, captain Nate Worth found substitute winger Pedro Castro, who scored to cut New York's deficit to one.

Castro made his MLS NEXT Pro debut.

The Brazilian scored his first goal for Red Bull New York II.

Worth registered his seventh assist of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro campaign.

Following Sunday's match, Red Bulls II will begin preparations for the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro Cup playoffs.

After finishing eighth in the Eastern Conference, they will host Huntsville City FC in the Play-In Round.

The side are looking to become the first club in league history to repeat as champions.
