
New York- Penn League Charitable Foundation Online Auction to Be Launched

WINOOSKI, VT The New York-Penn League Charitable Foundation is launching a 10-day online sports memorabilia auction on eBay in order to raise money for the Foundation. Starting on Friday, August 19th at 12:00 AM EST, people from all over the world will have the opportunity to bid on items contributed by clubs in the New York-Penn League.
This is the third year that the 14-team League has held an auction to benefit its Charitable Foundation. The Primary goal of the Foundation is to take the collective efforts of its clubs and enhance the lives of the fans in each of the 14 cities hosting the Leagues clubs. As the Foundation continues to grow, these areas will continue to see a major impact from this great charity.
General Manager of the Vermont Expos and Executive Director of the Foundation, C.J. Knudsen said, We are very excited to have eBay host this years New York-Penn League Charitable Auction. This is an excellent opportunity for baseball fans to bid on great items and for the Foundation to raise money to enrich the lives of fans in each of the 14 cities that host League teams
Fans will be able to bid on unique items from the New York-Penn League, including autographed items by former Major League Baseball greats Cal Ripken Jr., Yogi Berra, Andre Dawson, and Johnny Podres. Cardinal fans will also have the chance to bid on a private, 30 minute one-on-one baseball instructional session with Cardinals pitching coach and former major league all-star Sid Monge.
