
New York City Football Club Launches 2023 NYCFC Mastercard City Assist Contest to Support Local Small Businesses

New York, N.Y. - In celebration of National Small Business Month, New York City Football Club (NYCFC) today launched the NYCFC Mastercard City Assist Contest for the third consecutive year. The NYCFC Mastercard City Assist Contest is a highly competitive promotion drawing submissions from small businesses across New York City. Local New York City small businesses can now enter this year's contest for a chance to work collaboratively with the Club to amplify and grow their brand awareness in New York City.

This year, one (1) winner's small business will receive:
Twenty thousand dollars ($20,000)
Mastercard Digital Doors Toolkit and 1:1 mentorship with a Small Business Advisor
Two (2) suite tickets for a mutually agreed upon NYCFC home match
NYCFC promotional and marketing assets
Additionally, four (4) other finalists' small businesses will receive:

To help small businesses evolve in today's digital age, Mastercard is providing the winner and finalists with a Mastercard Digital Doors® Toolkit inclusive of Mastercard's Digital Readiness Diagnostic, one-on-one mentorship, as well as access to a suite of innovative tools, resources and benefits to help small business digitally enhance their operations and grow.
NYCFC and Mastercard know how important small businesses are to the community. The NYCFC Mastercard City Assist Contest was originally founded in 2021 to help local small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, the winners of the inaugural edition of the NYCFC Mastercard City Assist Contest also became the sleeve partner on NYCFC's First Team jerseys, making NYCFC the first MLS franchise to proudly feature a local small business on the team's jersey sleeve. Last year, NYCFC and Mastercard surprised the five finalists of the 2022 edition, announcing not one but all five were receiving a $10,000 grant, access to Mastercard's small business tools, two (2) suite tickets to an NYCFC match and an NYCFC promotional marketing asset package.
No payment or purchase of any kind necessary to enter or win. Contest ends 11:59pm ET June 12, 2023.
