New Orleans VooDoo make roster moves

The New Orleans VooDoo began to make their final roster cuts today in preparation for their 2005 season opener next Saturday (Jan. 29) at the Georgia Force as they waived three players, the club announced today.

OS Jerel Myers, FB/LB Ahmad Willis and QB Tory Woodbury were waived from the active roster, which now stands at 27 players, three more than the league limit of 24 required by this Tuesday (Jan. 25).

The 2004 Southern Division champion New Orleans VooDoo home opener is Sunday, February 13 at 2 pm, when they host the 2004 AFL champion San Jose SaberCats. The regular-season home schedule includes games against: San Jose, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Orlando, Georgia, Columbus, Colorado and Austin. Season ticket plans begin for as low as $96 per seat. There are numerous seating options available in all price ranges.
