DENVER - The Colorado Crush have waived veteran wide receiver/defensive back and Colorado State alumni Thal Woods, and rookie lineman Marcus Adams, the team announced today.
Woods (5-9, 173 lbs.) was entering his third season with the Crush after being discovered at open tryout prior to the team's inaugural 2003 season. Woods has appeared in six regular season games over two seasons, making two catches for 22 yards and adding 8.5 tackles and a pass breakup. He also started both Crush playoff games in 2004, making five tackles.
Adams (6-1, 285, Eastern Kentucky) is an AFL rookie who spent the 2004 season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.
The Crush active roster now stands at 23 players, one under the league maximum of 24 allowed to start the season. Only 20 players are permitted to dress on gamedays.
Colorado will kick off its third season in Orlando on January 30 before returning to Denver to host the Grand Rapids Rampage at Pepsi Center on February 5. Crush single-game tickets start at just $7and can be purchased by calling (303) 830-TIXS on to ticketmaster.com.
