New Orleans VooDoo Announce Open Tryout Date

NEW ORLEANS (September 29, 2014) - The first open tryout for the New Orleans VooDoo upcoming 2015 season will be held on Saturday, November 15, at Pan American Stadium in City Park in New Orleans.
The New Orleans VooDoo will host its first open tryout of the 2015 season on Saturday, November 15, at Pan American Stadium in City Park. Registration will begin at 9 AM with the tryout starting at 10 AM. The registration fee will be $80 and will be due on the day of the tryout. The tryout will consist of the 40-yard dash, short shuttle, broad jump, individual drills, and 1 on 1's. The workouts will be conducted on artificial turf fields, so participants are encouraged to wear cleats. Kickers ARE included in the open tryout.
Head Coach Dean Cokinos will conduct the workouts and evaluate the players.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for players looking to play in the Arena Football League," said Cokinos. "Our goal is to rebuild the Voodoo roster, and this will be the first chance for potential candidates to showcase their abilities. We're in a talent rich region, and our goal is to find and sign some quality players who can contribute to our organization."
