New Mudbugs Radio Show to Premiere September 24th

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- Starting Tuesday September 24th, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and Multi-Media Management will be bringing a weekly hockey talk show to Mudbugs fans. "Power Play with Scott Muscutt" will take place live at Boomtown Casino in Bossier City from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. every Tuesday night throughout the 2002-03 season. The show will be broadcast on Sports Radio AM 1130 The Fan.

As a call-in talk show, "Power Play with Scott Muscutt" will give hockey fans the opportunity to ask questions and catch up on the latest information regarding the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, the Central Hockey League, the NHL, and the rest of the hockey world. The show will also feature special guests from the Mudbugs organization and others from around the game.

"This is going to be a lot of fun for our fans," said Mudbugs General Manager Jason Rent. "Each week, the show will be a great chance for everyone to get the latest news from the team and ask any questions they might have about the Mudbugs or the game of hockey. We're all very excited to get the show started on September 24th."

"Power Play with Scott Muscutt" will feature the third-year Mudbugs Head Coach, along with radio color commentator Scott Tarkowski, and new play-by-play broadcaster Steve Mears. Mears comes to the Mudbugs from Bowling Green State University where he spent the last three seasons as the voice of the Falcons' hockey team.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch the show live at Boomtown Casino in Bossier City and audience members will also be able to ask questions. Boomtown Casino is the title sponsor of the program.

The debut show on September 24th will feature a preview of the September 28th NHL exhibition game at the CenturyTel Center between the Nashville Predators and the Atlanta Thrashers, as well as the latest news from the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs.

The 2002-03 Mudbugs hockey season will begin on October 17th at the CenturyTel Center versus the Memphis RiverKings. For more information on season tickets for the upcoming year, please contact 318-752-BUGS.
