New Mexico United News Release
New Mexico United is excited to announce the launch of their brand new online store. A sleek, revamped display, a simpler buying experience, and localized warehousing, distribution and support are representative of United's focus on all things local. Every item purchased through shop.newmexicoutd.com is stored and shipped directly from our Albuquerque warehouse, cutting down on shipping time and costs, and providing customers with the local support they need.
"Since the early days of this club, we have been constantly honored and impressed with our rabid fans' innate desire to represent our club and our state everywhere they go," said New Mexico United Owner/President Peter Trevisani. "Bringing merchandise back to New Mexico has been a huge goal for us since that time, and we are so excited to localize that process - providing more jobs and more opportunities here in the 505."
Previously, to keep up with the high demand for United merchandise (New Mexico United sells more than double the next highest USL Championship club in merchandise), the club was forced to warehouse and distribute their merchandise through a third party - located out of state. As the club continues to grow, they are now able to achieve their years-long goal of localizing that process, hiring additional New Mexican employees to oversee the e-commerce, merchandising, warehousing, and distribution processes.
These shifts will also allow United to continue to grow their focus on utilizing New Mexican vendors for their merchandise. While this has always been important to the club - visible through the creation of the Artist Series - warehousing and distribution from inside New Mexico will now allow that idea to grow and expand.
