
New Mexico United Announces Return of Club's All-Time Leading Goal-Scorer, Chris Wehan

Albuquerque, NM - New Mexico United is thrilled to announce the return of club original, three-time club Most Valuable Player, and all-time leading scorer Chris Wehan. Wehan has signed a new contract that will keep him in Black & Yellow for a sixth season.
"What Chris means to this club and this community is beyond measure," said United Sporting Director Itamar Keinan. "His intelligence, talent, and impact make him a massive piece of the history and the future of New Mexico United. We're beyond excited to bring him back on a new contract, and to see him continue to create incredible moments in New Mexico."
Wehan holds many club records, including the all-time scoring record (41 in all competitions,) the all-time assists record (18 in all competitions,) and the first playoff goal scored in New Mexico United history (@ San Antonio FC, 2020 First Round.) He has made 95 USL Championship appearances in Black & Yellow. Wehan was the club's Most Valuable Player in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
