New Mexico Stars Announce Majority Owner Jerry Dunn As Interim General Manager

(Rio Rancho, NM) The New Mexico Stars announced that Jerry Dunn, the majority owner of the five member group that owns and operates the franchise, has been named the team's Interim General Manager taking the place of previous General Manager Dart Clark. Clark remains part of the ownership group along with Dunn and three others.
"Our goal is for the Stars to be a long-term and influential part of this great community, said Jerry Dunn, majority owner and General Manager of the New Mexico Stars. "The ownership group is committed to ensuring that we follow through on what has been said since day one and making this change in the front office was essential for our organization to reach that goal."
Dunn was an instrumental piece of the puzzle that brought the Stars to New Mexico. With his support the Indoor Football League franchise signed a five year deal with the city of Rio Rancho to make the Santa Ana Star Center their home.
"We have a great group of guys in the locker room that come to play hard every game, said Stars Head Coach, Chris Williams. "The change in the front office does not have much of an effect on us football wise, but it will push our players to become an integral part of this great community."
The Stars will be on the road for their next game March 31 st when they take the field against the Wichita Wild.
The team then returns home on Friday, April 6 th for the teams first ever "Family Night". Anyone who purchases one regularly priced ticket will receive one kids ticket FREE. If additional kids tickets are needed they can be purchased at half price.
The "Family Night" promotional offer is only available at the Santa Ana Star Center Box office and for children 12 and under. The offer is not available on previously purchased tickets, front row seating or $5 walkup tickets.

The New Mexico Stars, presented by Santa Ana Star Casino, are the newest franchise in the Indoor Football League (IFL) which will play their home games on Don Chalmers Ford Field at Santa Ana Star Center. The 2012 season brings in new faces and new places to the Indoor Football League. With the addition of new teams in markets such as New Mexico, and Iowa, the IFL is sure to give fans another great year of fast paced, hard hitting entertainment.
