Maryland Black Bears News Release
The Maryland Black Bears took on the New Jersey Titans for the 10th time this season, with New Jersey leading the season series with a 5-3-1 record. The Titans struck in the first period and never looked back, taking down the Maryland Black Bears 2-0 and handing the team its tenth straight loss.
New Jersey struck first with a goal from forward Nick Seitz, letting a wrist shot go from the top of the far circle to make it 1-0. The Titans doubled its lead off a turnover, leading to a goal from forward Connor Pelc. The Black Bears pushed back in the third period but could not score, falling 2-0.
The Maryland Black Bears travel to Johnstown to take on the Tomahawks Friday, March 12th and Saturday, March13th. Maryland returns home to Piney Orchard Ice Arena Wednesday, March 17th against the New Jersey Titans.
