New Jersey Outlaws Announce Affiliation with Trenton Titans

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers and AHL's Adirondack Phantoms, today announced an affiliation with the Federal Hockey League's New Jersey Outlaws, who play out of the Capital One Ice Vault in Wayne.

The announcement was made jointly by Titans President/CEO Rich Lisk and Outlaws President Chris Firriolo.

The affiliation agreement is for the 2011-2012 season, with focus on player development. The affiliation also provides cross-promotional opportunities for both organizations to market and sell tickets through their fan bases.

Lisk mentioned the positives the affiliation brings.

"This affiliation is good step for professional hockey in both New Jersey and the Northeast,'' said Lisk. "We're glad to assist Chris, the Outlaws and Federal League in whatever way the Titans can.''

Firriolo also sees the benefits.

"We're very excited to affiliate with the Trenton Titans," he said "They have a long rich tradition and history here and it's a great tie-in for the State of Hockey in New Jersey to work alongside Rich, Vince Williams and the Titans Organization as we prepare and develop our players for the next level."

The Outlaws, a member of the Federal Hockey League, a Single 'A' Professional Minor League, will play a 53 game schedule and go up against teams from Danbury, Ct., Cornwall, Ont., Brooklyn, N.Y., Cape Cod, Mass., Thousand Islands, N.Y., Morrisville, VT., and Danville, Ill.

The Outlaws season home opener is on October 28th against the Danbury Whalers at the Capital One Ice Vault in Wayne, NJ.

The Titans, who will play a pair of preseason games - vs. Elmira Friday, Oct. 7 at ProSkate in Monmouth Junction and at Reading Sunday, Oct. 9 - make their ECHL return Friday, Oct. 14 at Elmira. The Titans' home-opener at the Sun National Bank Center is Saturday, Oct. 22 vs. the Florida Everblades.
