New Faces on Outlaws Roster

Chico Outlaws News Release


CHICO, CALIF - The Chico Outlaws announced today the signing of catcher Pete Farina and pitcher Austin Redwine.

Farina was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 21st round of the 2005 draft and played for the Yuma Scorpions in 2008. Redwine pitched for the Atlantic City Surf of the independent Can-Am League, in 2008.

Norm Hutchins, infielder for the Outlaws, has had his contract purchased by the Lincoln Saltdogs. Hutchins came to the Outlaws from the Edmonton Capitals and spent time at first base and in the DH position. The Outlaws received cash for Hutchins contract as well as a player to be named at a later date.

Left handed pitcher Blake Cull and right handed pitcher Michael Martin were released.
