
New England Trades Downs to Calgary

The New England Black Wolves announced today that Dereck Downs has been traded to the Calgary Roughnecks in exchange for a third round pick in the 2020 and 2022 NLL Drafts.
Per team policy, no details were released.
Downs was selected by the Black Wolves in the fifth round of the 2018 NLL Entry Draft. The Toronto native spent his first year with the Pack on the practice squad but in 2019 appeared in 15 contests.
During the 2019 season the left-handed forward scored 16 goals and tallied seven assists for 23 total points. This season, Downs appeared in New England's matchup against the New York Riptide where he recorded two points on one goal and one assist and collected five loose balls.
New England is currently 3-0 and will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 18 when the Philadelphia Wings come to town for a 7:30pm faceoff at Mohegan Sun Arena.
