New England Surge Announce Second Open Auditions for Dance Team

Worcester, MA. ...If you have ever dreamed of being on the dance team of an exciting professional football team, this is your chance. On Sunday, February 10, 2008, The New England Surge professional indoor football team is holding its second open auditions to complete its 10-member coveted Power Surge Dance Team. Dancers from 18-years and older have the chance to audition and be picked to be one of the Power Surge Dance team members in preparation for the New England Surge's second season home opening game at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA on Sunday April 20, 2008. This is the second open audition seeking 5 more talented dancers to complete the 10-member dance team roster. On January 20, 5 ladies made the first cut for the Power Surge Dance 10-member team.

The Power Surge was a big hit last year and this year they promise to be even better. Karen Chevalier took over as Director and has planned an extensive audition session for the dance team try outs. For the New England Surge's second season the Power Surge Cheerleaders has changed to the Power Surge Dance Team. This is as a result of Power Surge Director Karen Chevalier's many years of dance experience, which will allow her to share her love of dance and watch the routines come to life in front of thousands of fans with the dance teams' exciting and pulsating repertoire.

Young women who will be 18 years of age or older by the audition date, and have dance training can audition for a place in the 10-member Power Surge Dance Team. Auditions will be held on Sunday, February 10, promptly at 8:00a.m. at Believe in You Model & Talent, located at 381 Main Street in Worcester. Registration will begin at 8am and participants should plan on keeping the entire day open for auditions. The audition process will consist of 3 parts. First, each candidate will need to arrive with a prepared 30-second routine to be performed for the judges. Second, the candidates will learn a short Power Surge routine that they will then perform for the judges. The final portion will be an interview. Chevalier is confident that the final team selections will be completed by the end of the day. Chevalier relays, "Bring your talent, bring your winning personality, and get ready to have a ton of fun!"
