New England Revolution II News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution II (11-5-6; 43 pts.; 2nd in East) will host Atlanta United 2 (7-10-5; 27 pts; 10th in East) on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium. Eric Duick will call the action on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV for the 7 p.m. ET match.
Revolution II defeated Orlando City B, 5-4, on Wednesday night at Osceola Heritage Park. Peyton Miller tallied his third goal of the season and sent in a cross to cause an Orlando own goal, while Jack Panayotou, Jordan Adebayo-Smith, and Joshua Bolma all joined him on the scoresheet. With his 10th goal of the season, Adebayo-Smith became the first player in team history to hit the double-digit mark in a season. Revolution II captain Jake Rozhansky earned the assist on Miller's goal for his fourth helper of the season, placing him tied for most on the team with Adebayo-Smith.
After earning all three points in Florida, New England is now unbeaten in seven consecutive matches for the longest unbeaten streak in the team's four-year history. Revolution II last faced Atlanta United 2 in the season opener on March 26 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium, where New England earned their first victory of the season, 3-2. Rozhansky tallied his first goal of the year and caused an Atlanta own goal while defender Pierre Cayet headed home the game-winner in the 60th minute.
With six regular season games remaining, the push toward the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Cup Playoffs continues. New England currently stands in second place in the Eastern Conference, four points behind Crown Legacy FC and one point above defending MLS NEXT Pro Cup Champion Columbus Crew 2.
