New Bobcat Fulton's five-point week captures Sher-wood NAHL Offensive Player of the Week award

January 6, 2005 - North American Hockey League (NAHL) News Release

Newcomer Dustin Fulton just joined the Bobcats a week ago and he wasted no time in making a good first impression on his new team and new league. The Brooklyn Park, Minnesota native tallied three goals and added a pair of assists in his first three games with Bismarck and captured the Sher-wood NAHL Offensive Player of the Week award for Week 14 of the season. Just a minute into his first game for Bismarck, he set up the game's first goal in the Bobcats 7-3 loss to Fargo-Moorhead. He tallied a hat trick the next night -- including the game's first goal and a shorthanded goal -- in a Bobcats 6-2 win over Billings. On New Year's Day, Fulton set up a game-tying goal late in the first period against Billings in a game the Bulls went on to win, 5-2.

Runners-up: Mike Janda, Springfield Spirit, had three goals, including a game winner, in a pair of road wins against Central Texas and Wichita Falls; Brandon Vossberg, Santa Fe, scored a hat trick and an assist in two games against Texarkana.

Other nominees: Gabe Harren, Billings; Derek Hansberry, Wichita Falls.
