NECBL Announces 2018 All-Star Game Skills Competition Rosters

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Commissioner  Sean McGrath  is pleased to unveil the rosters for the 2018 New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) All-Star Game Skills Competition. The 2018 NECBL All-Star Game will be hosted by the Valley Blue Sox at MacKenzie Stadium on Sunday, July 29.

The  2018 NECBL Skills Competition  will offer the opportunity for players throughout the league to perform in front of MLB scouts from all 30 organizations. The event begins with the 60-Yard Dash at approximately 3:15 p.m. followed by the annual Home Run Derby, which features four of the league leaders in homers.

The Valley Blue Sox will host the 2018 NECBL All-Star Game on Sunday, July 29. The All-Star Game showcases the NECBL's top talent in a fun-filled afternoon and evening of the best the league has to offer - with players from all 13 NECBL franchises showcasing their skills in front of scouts from every Major League Baseball (MLB) organization. Pregame ceremonies are scheduled for 5:10 p.m., with first pitch to follow shortly afterward. A full itinerary  can be found here. 

Don't forget! The 2018 NECBL Fan Vote is still underway! From Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26, fans can vote for one of 13 players nominated by the league for the  2018 NECBL All-Star Game Fan Vote. The players with the most votes from each division will take to the diamond next Sunday as the 30th members of each team.

The New England Collegiate Baseball League is a wooden bat college summer league that fields teams in all six New England states. Partially funded by Major League Baseball, the NECBL started play in 1994 and is enjoying its 25th-year anniversary season this summer. The New England League has sent nearly 150 alumni to the Major Leagues and has had close to 100 alumni taken in the MLB Draft in each of the last 10 seasons.
