Nebraska Danger Head to Green Bay Friday
February 28, 2019 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Nebraska Danger News Release
After kicking off the season in impressive fashion, the Nebraska Danger hits the road for the first time in the 2019 season as they head to Green Bay to take on the Blizzard.
Both teams are coming in on completely different emotions. The Danger cruised to a 66-44 win over the Bismarck Bucks in their opener behind the arm of quarterback Tommy Armstrong and the legs of running back Davonte Sapp-Lynch. The two combined for 8 touchdowns in the win, and they say they're just getting started.
The Blizzard, on the other hand, are coming in after a demoralizing 51-21 loss at home to the Arizona Rattlers. The Blizzard just trailed by two halfway through the second quarter, but Arizona reeled off three unanswered touchdowns to put the game out of reach.
The Blizzard get to stay at home in their rebound effort, but the Danger enters looking to grab a much-needed win before a two-game stretch that could define the early portion of the season. After Green Bay, the Danger play host to perennial IFL power Sioux Falls, then defending IFL champion Iowa the week after that.
Kickoff between the Nebraska Danger and Green Bay Blizzard is set for 7 p.m. at the Resch Center Complex in Green Bay.
