Nebraska Danger News Release

On Saturday, February 16th, the Nebraska Danger will host its first-ever winter kids camp at Grand Island Senior High School!

The Kids Camp is comprised of three sessions - an early and late football session as well as a cheer session. Kids ages 5-9 will participate in the early football session from 10 a.m. - Noon, with kids ages 10-13 participating in the afternoon session from 1-3 p.m. There will also be a Cheer Camp for kids ages 5-13 that will run alongside the morning session from 10 a.m. - Noon.

An exciting addition to the Kids Camps will be former Nebraska Cornhusker and recently signed Nebraska Danger quarterback Tommy Armstrong, Jr! He will be assisting the Danger coaching staff during the camps. Grand Island Senior High football coach Jeff Tomlin and his staff will also team up with GICC football coach Tim Dvorak and his staff to help the Danger coach the kids during the camp!

This stop in Grand Island is the third of three consecutive Kids Camps that have taken place on the past few Saturdays. The team visited Hastings High School on Saturday, February 2nd and Sunrise Middle School in Kearney on Saturday, February 9th.

Walk-up registrations will be allowed for the Grand Island camp. The football camp costs just $25 per camper, with the cheer camp costing $40 per camper. In fact, there are already more than 180 kids signed up and counting!

Media availability for the camp coaches and Tommy Armstrong, Jr. will take place from 12:20-12:40 p.m. We hope we can see you out there this Saturday for a unique community event in Grand Island!

Tickets for Nebraska Danger Football are on sale through the Heartland Events Center Ticket Office, local Pump & Pantrys, or Ticketmaster.com. The 2019 season opener is slated for Saturday, February 23 at 7 pm. For more information, visit dangerfootball.com.
