NBDL daily developments
Published on March 24, 2005 under NBA G League (G League) News Release
QUOTING THE ICEMAN: "We all talk about great players coming straight out of high school, but what about all the ones who don't make it. (NBA Commissioner) David Stern is not turning his back on those players. The Development League gives those players who are just a step away from the NBA a shot to get there by teaching them what it means to sacrifice, to work hard, as well as teaching them the importance of the social skills needed to succeed at the next level." ...NBA Legend George Gervin, who made his way up from the Texas Hill Country to attend the NBDL Austin tipoff press conference.
VITAL SIGNS: Fayetteville's postseason hopes are still alive but the pulse is weak and the blood pressure is high. The Patriots need a win at home tonight against Roanoke to stay in the hunt.
