NBA TV to Air NBDL Games
November 16, 2002 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
GREENVILLE, S.C. (November 15, 2002) ? Nineteen National Basketball Development League regular-season games, and up to six playoff games, will air on NBA TV, the league announced today. With a regular season and playoff television package already in place with ESPN2, the NBDL is the only basketball minor league with a national television deal.
Regular weekly coverage will begin November 23 on NBA TV. All games will be aired on a tape-delayed basis. NBA TV also plans to rerun the 13-show reality-based documentary, Down Low: Life in the D-League, with dates and times to released at a later date. ESPN2 reaches approximately 80 million homes, while NBA TV reaches almost 13 million.
