He has also connected on .400 (6-15) of his three-point attempts. His best game since joining the team came on Feb. 6 against Atlanta, when he scored 11 points on 3-7 shooting from the field, including two three-pointers in 19:29 minutes. Prior to his callup from the D-League, Martin appeared in 21 games for the Iowa Energy and averaged 20.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 37.6 minutes.
ARSENAL AQUIRE MARCUS TAYLOR The Anaheim Arsenal, proud affiliates of the Los Angeles Clippers and Atlanta Hawks, announced that they have signed guard Marcus Taylor while releasing forward Bryson McKenzie. Taylor, a 6'3", 195 pound guard out of Michigan State, was the second round pick (#52 overall) in the 2002 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He participated in the Timberwolves' training camp but was released before the regular season began. He has extensive professional experience with stints in France, Greece, CBA, and the Albuquerque Thunderbirds and Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League.
JORDAN RETURNS TO VIPERS ACTIVE ROSTER The NBA D-League Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced that they have added Jared Jordan back to the roster. He replaces Kendall Dartez, who was waived due to injury. Jordan suffered a high left ankle sprain against Tulsa on January 21st and has missed the last four games. Jordan is eighth in the league with 5.9 assists and seventh with 2.2 steals per game. He is averaging 8.0 points per game and shooting .368 from behind the arc, second best on the team and tops among guards.
