- In a game that saw 17 ties and 14 lead changes, Erie broke a 106-106 tie late in the fourth quarter with a Kyle Spain three-pointer. On the ensuing possession, the BayHawks' Ivan Johnson stole a Donald Sloan pass, drew a foul and converted both free throws to give Erie a 111-106 lead it would not relinquish. Tasmin Mitchell led Erie with 25 points. Bobby Simmons had 21 points for Reno.
- Michael Haynes scored a career high 37 points grabbed 11 rebounds, while Curtis Stinson added 34 points as Iowa won the decisive Game 3 over Utah. Scott VanderMeer had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Utah had six players in double figures, led by Orien Greene and Ronald Dupree, who each scored 17 points.
- Matt Janning hit five three-pointers and finished with 17 points, five rebounds and three assists as Rio Grande Valley tied its series with Bakersfield at 1-1. Jerel McNeal led the Vipers with 26 points. Jeremy Wise led the Jam with 21 points.
IOWA AND TULSA TO TIP OFF SEMIFINAL ON FRIDAY
The top-seeded Iowa Energy and the fourth-seeded Tulsa 66ers will meet in the semifinals of the NBA Development League Playoffs, with Game 1 set for 8 p.m. ET Friday, April 15, in Tulsa. Game 2 of the best-of-three series is scheduled for 8 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Iowa. Game 3, if necessary, will be at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday, April 19, at Iowa. The Energy, which finished with the NBA D-League's best regular-season record (37-13), used a 112-107 victory over the seventh-seeded Utah Flash on Tuesday to take the first-round series, two games to one. Tulsa, which went 33-17 in the regular season, swept the eighth-seeded Texas Legends in two games.
