IOWA'S JEFFERS NAMED NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Othyus Jeffers of the Iowa Energy was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Dec. 27, his second such honor this season. Jeffers, a 6-5, 200-pound guard/forward who earned a GATORADE Call-Up and played in 20 games last season with the Utah Jazz, led the Energy to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 22.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals. Jeffers was also named Performer of the Week for the week of Nov. 21. In Iowa's 111-100 win at Fort Wayne on Tuesday, Jeffers had a team-leading 24 points and 14 rebounds, and added five assists and two steals. On Friday, Jeffers recorded 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals in the Energy's 103-91 win over Dakota.

Utah's Orien Greene scored a game-high 30 points on 11-of-15 shooting in Monday's 103-94 home win over the Jam. The loss snapped Bakersfield's four-game winning streak. Greene added seven rebounds and seven assists, while Ryan Thompson scored 14 points for Utah. Devin Ebanks, on assignment from the Los Angeles Lakers, had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Bakersfield.
Courtney Sims converted a three-point play with six seconds left to give Iowa a three-point win over Dakota. Sims and Curtis Stinson each finished with 26 points for the Energy. Renaldo Major led Dakota with 28 points.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
18 players with NBA D-League experience competed in six NBA games last night, two as starters.
Utah's C.J. Miles scored 12 points in 17 minutes off the bench in a win over Detroit.
Denver's Chris Andersen had four points and eight rebounds in a win over Houston.
