FORMER NBA ALL-STAR ANTOINE WALKER JOINS IDAHO STAMPEDE

The Idaho Stampede has acquired three-time NBA All-Star Antoine Walker. A veteran of 12 NBA seasons, Walkers has career averages of 17.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 893 games (707 starts). The long-time Celtic made All-Star game appearances in 1998, 2002 and 2003, starting alongside Michael Jordan in the 2002 game in Philadelphia. Walker has played for the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves. His last stint in the NBA was in 2007-08 with the Timberwolves, playing 46 games. In the NBA playoffs, Walker has career averages of 16.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 64 games. Walker averaged 13.3 points with the Miami Heat in 2005-06 when the club won its first-ever NBA Championship. Walker was the sixth overall selection in the 1996 NBA Draft, making the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1997. Stampede Head Coach Randy Livingston was taken 42nd overall in that same draft class. Stampede Assistant Coach Greg Minor played together with Walker for three seasons with the Celtics from 1996-99.

Raymond Sykes posted a season-high 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting, and Miami Heat assignee Dexter Pittman recorded his third double-double in five games with 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Sioux Falls over Austin. Lance Thomas paced the Toros with a season-high 23 points on 10-for-12 shooting.

Mustafa Shakur scored a team-high 19 points, while Houston Rockets assignee Patrick Patterson added 16 points and 11 rebounds for Rio Grande Valley in a win over New Mexico. Shane Edwards led the Thunderbirds with 20 points on 9-for-11 shooting.

Ivan Johnson, Toronto assignee Solomon Alabi and Cleveland assignee Christian Eyenga all had point/rebound double-doubles for Erie in a win over Utah. Cedric Jackson, a three-time call-up in 2009-10, added 19 points and seven assists for the BayHawks. Brandon Costner led Utah with 22 points and seven rebounds.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

21 players with NBA D-League experience competed in seven NBA games last night, two as starters.

The Lakers' Shannon Brown scored 12 points in 18 minutes off the bench in a win over Washington.

Portland's Patty Mills tallied nine points and seven assists in a win over Phoenix.

Golden State's Dorell Wright had 17 points and 11 rebounds in a loss to Dallas.
