SAN ANTONIO SPURS SIGN AUSTIN'S ALONZO GEE
The San Antonio Spurs have signed Alonzo Gee of the Austin Toros. Gee's GATORADE Call-Up is the 29th of the 2009-10 NBA Development League season and the second for him this season. He joins 74 other NBA players with NBA D-League experience. Gee appeared in 36 games for the Toros this season, averaging 21.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 38.2 minutes, recording four double-doubles. He scored a season-high 34 points in a 127-94 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Jan. 6 in Austin. Gee returns to the NBA following a GATORADE Call-Up to the Washington Wizards on March 7. In 11 games, two starts, for the Wizards, Gee averaged 7.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 16.5 minutes. On March 26, Gee earned his first NBA start, scoring a career-high 19 points in a 107-96 loss at Charlotte.
AUSTIN'S DWAYNE JONES AND MARCUS WILLIAMS NAMED NBA D-LEAGUE CO-PERFORMERS OF THE WEEK
Dwayne Jones and Marcus Williams of the Austin Toros were named NBA Development League Co-Performers of the Week for games played during the week of March 22, when the Toros recorded a 4-0 record. The award is the second for Jones and the first for Williams this season. Jones recorded four double-doubles last week in home wins over the Springfield Armor and Bakersfield Jam. He scored more than 20 points in three games, including a 27-point outing on March 28 in a 122-110 win over the Jam in Austin. For the week, Jones averaged 21.0 points, shooting 54 percent (26-of-48) from the field to go with 14.8 rebounds. Williams re-joined the Toros last week and scored more than 20 points in all four of the team's games. He scored a season-high 29 points on March 24 in a 118-89 win over Springfield. For the week, Williams averaged 25.3 points, connecting on 61 percent from the field, to go with 5.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds.

Oliver Lafayette had 26 points and 11 assists, while Rob Kurz tallied 24 points and 11 rebounds as Fort Wayne took care of Springfield. Ryan Ayers added 19 point for the Mad Ants. Justin Hawkins led Springfield with 16 points.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
11 players with NBA D-League experience competed in five NBA games last night, two as starters.
Wesley Matthews started for Utah and scored 12 points in a win over New York. C.J. Miles also started for the Jazz and nine points, five rebounds and four assists.
