2010 NBA D-LEAGUE SHOWCASE CONTINUES TODAY

The 2010 NBA Development League Showcase tipped off its 16-game schedule on Monday, Jan. 4 and it runs through Thursday, Jan. 7. The sixth annual event is take place at Qwest Arena, home of the Idaho Stampede in Boise, Idaho and features all 16 NBA D-League teams playing two games apiece under one roof. NBA TV, the league's 24 hour network, is featuring seven live game broadcasts of the event, while the other nine games are being shown live, online, for free on NBA Futurecast at nba.com/dleague.

RIO GRANDE VALLEY'S ANDERSON NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

Antonio Anderson of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played during the Week of Dec. 28. Anderson led Rio Grande Valley to a 2-0 record last week, including a home victory over the Austin Toros and a road win against the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Anderson averaged 26.5 points, shooting 62 percent (19-of-31) from the field last week, to go with 7.1 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.0 rebounds.

Carlos Powell and Yaroslav Korolev each scored 20 points to lead Albuquerque. Antoine Agudio added 17 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Garrett Temple scored a team-high 18 points for Rio Grande Valley. Will Conroy added 15 points and six assists for the Vipers.

Eight players scored in double figures for Maine, led by 22 points from Billy Thomas.

Diamon Simpson and Michael Fey each scored 22 points to lead the D-Fenders. They also had 14 and 11 rebounds, respectively.

Maurice Baker played 51 minutes and finished with 30 points for Dakota, to go with 12 rebounds and three steals. Curtis Withers also posted a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Wizards.

Reno's Russell Robinson was spectacular in defeat, finishing with a game-high 34 points. Desmon Farmer added 17 points, five assists and four rebounds for the Big Horns.

Anthony Tolliver scored 24 points, while Sundiata Gaines added 19 points, six assists and five steals for the Stampede.

Morris Almond led Springfield with 31 points, 21 of those coming in the first half.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

Four players with NBA D-League experience competed in four NBA games last night, three as starters.

Devin Brown started and scored 30 points for the Hornets in a win over Utah.

Martell Webster started and scored 25 points for Portland in a win over the L.A. Clippers.
