Cedric Simmons led the way for Idaho putting in 26 points on 11-17 shooting from the field. Sundiata Gaines recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds to go with eight assists.
The Utah Flash were led by Carlos Wheeler's 24 points and seven rebounds. Andre Ingram added 21 and Dontell Jefferson had 19 points and seven assists.
SUNS RECALL GRIFFIN FROM IOWA
The Phoenix Suns have recalled rookie forward Taylor Griffin from the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League. Originally assigned to Iowa on Dec. 7, the 6-7, 238-pound Griffin started both games he appeared in, averaging 13.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.0 steals in 37.0 minutes. Griffin shot 68.8 percent from the field in those contests, both Energy wins. Griffin was selected by the Suns with the 48th overall pick (second round) of the 2009 NBA Draft and has appeared in two games this season for Phoenix.
RENO'S FARMER NAMED NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Desmon Farmer of the Reno Bighorns was named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played during the Week of Dec. 7. Farmer is the first Bighorn to earn the honor this season and the third player overall.
For the week, Farmer led Reno to back-to-back wins over the Utah Flash and Bakersfield Jam.
averaged 26.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 41 percent (15-of-37) from the field and .317 (6-of-19) from beyond the three-point arc. On Saturday, Dec. 12, Farmer recorded the NBA D-League season's first triple-double when he scored 20 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and dished out 11 assists in the win over the Jam.
The selection is the second in Farmer's career. He was also named NBA D-League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of March 31, 2008.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
14 players with NBA D-League experience competed in six NBA games last night, three as starters.
As a starter for Dallas, Jose Juan Barea scored a game-high 23 points, leading the Mavericks to a 94-90 win over the Hornets.
Denver's Chris Andersen notched a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, as the Nuggets defeated the Thunder 102-93.
