MONDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Monday's games:
Idaho's Anthony Tolliver scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Idaho Stampede defeated the Bighorns 123-104. Sundiata Gaines followed with 21 points and eight assists.
Reno was led by Rod Benson, who recorded the first Reno double-double of the season with 28-point 12-rebounds. Russell Robison's 21 points while Desmon Farmer added 19 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Bighorns.
CHARLOTTE'S AJINCA ASSIGNED TO NBA D-LEAGUE'S MAINE RED CLAWS
Charlotte Bobcats center Alexis Ajinca was assigned to the Maine Red Claws, the Bobcats' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the fifth of the NBA D-League season, the second for Maine, and the second for Ajinca, who was assigned to the Sioux Falls Skyforce last season. Scoring in double-figures in eight of 11 games in the NBA D-League last season, Ajinca averaged 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 22.8 minutes.
RED CLAWS ACQUIRE TREY GILDER
Trey Gilder has signed an NBA Development League contract and joined the Maine Red Claws. Gilder was a member of the Memphis Grizzlies' undefeated 2009 Vegas Summer League roster. He posted 5.4 points and 2.8 rebounds on 63.2 percent shooting in 12.8 minutes in five games and signed as a free agent with the Grizzlies on August 27, 2009. A key reserve for the 2009 NBA D-League Champion Colorado 14ers of the NBA D-League last season, Gilder averaged 13.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in 23.9 minutes in 50 games as the team posted the D-League's best regular season record (34-16) and captured the NBA D-League title. He averaged 10.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 14.8 minutes per game in all four of the team's postseason contests.
To make room for Gilder, the Red Claws waived Gary Ervin.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
Nine players with NBA D-League experience competed in four NBA games last night, two as starters.
Dahntay Jones recorded 21 points in 32 minutes of play for the Indiana Pacers.
Starting for Milwaukee, Erson Ilyasova scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Bucks defeated the Bulls 99-97.
Jose Juan Barea notched 11 points and dished six assists to help the Mavericks defeat the 76ers 104-102.
Utah center Kyrylo Fesenko scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds, as the Jazz defeated the Grizzlies 120-93.
