UTAH'S DONTELL JEFFERSON CALLED UP TO CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The Charlotte Bobcats have signed Dontell Jefferson of the Utah Flash to a 10-day contract. Jefferson becomes the 15th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2008-09 season and 133rd overall since the league began play in 2001. Jefferson, a 6-4 guard out of Arkansas, has appeared in 32 games for the Flash this season and averaged 18.6 points, 5.5 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 36.7 minutes, scoring in double figures on 28 occasions, including 16 games with 20 or more points.

A three-year NBA D-League veteran, Jefferson played for two seasons with the Dakota Wizards, where he was a part of the 2006-07 NBA D-League championship squad. Jefferson has also participated in preseason training camps with the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Wednesday's games:

Lance Allred recorded a double-double to help the Idaho Stampede defeat the Anaheim Arsenal 91-90. Allred and Luke Jackson each finished the first quarter with 10 points apiece. Allred finished the game with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Jackson led all Stampede scorers with 23 points to go with nine assists and eight rebounds.

Anaheim guard Cedric Bozeman scored 17 of his 23 points in the second half. Kedrick Brown followed with 20 points to go with eight rebounds. Marcus Campbell notched a double-double, contributing 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Trey Johnson led Bakersfield with 24 points and added five rebounds. Justin Reed tallied a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Terrance Thomas added 16 points, Alpha Bangura had 12 points and six rebounds, while Nick Lewis collected 11 points and five rebounds to round out five Jam players in double digit scoring.

David Noel led Reno with 23 points while Patrick Ewing Jr. erupted for a 22 and 15 double-double. Richie Frahm followed with 20 points and seven rebounds and Russell Robinson contributed 18 points and seven assists.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

20 players with D-League experience competed in 10 NBA games last night, four as starters.

Von Wafer scored 20 points off the bench for the Rockets. Aaron Brooks added 14 as a starter.

Starting for the Lakers, Josh Powell scored 17 points and finished one rebound shy of a double-double.

As a starter for Miami, Jamario Moon tallied 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Teammate Daequan Cook added 10.
