MONDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Monday's D-League games

v Courtney Sims led the way for Utah with 28 points to go with eight rebounds, while Adam Haluska scored 18 points and grabbed 10 boards and Jeff Horner contributed with 15 points and 15 assists in the win over Fort Wayne.

v Fort Wayne's Earl Calloway secured a triple-double with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists as teammate Dahntay Jones scored 23 points and James Peters chipped in with 20 points on the night.

v Randy Livingston spearheaded Idaho's offense with 36 points, dishing out 10 assists. Mike Taylor scored 20 points and Cory Violette and Roberto Bergersen each had 16 points in the over-time win over Utah.

v Utah's Morris Almond, in his first game back with the Flash on assignment from the Utah Jazz, scored a team-high 31 points to go with seven rebounds as Kevin Kruger netted 19 points and dished out 11 assists in the loss.

D-LEAGUE PLAYOFFS 101: The 2007-08 D-League Playoffs will begin shortly after the regular season concludes on April 12 and will consist of three rounds. The first two rounds are single elimination, while the Finals will be a best-of-three series. The three division winners, as well as three wild card teams, will qualify for the 2008 D-League Playoffs. Tie breakers are, in order, head-to-head record, winning percentage against teams over .500, and point differential. The two division winners with the best records will receive byes in the first round.

ALMOND RETURNS TO D-LEAGUE: The Utah Jazz yesterday re-assigned rookie guard Morris Almond to its D-League affiliate Utah Flash. In his first two assignments, Almond played in 31 games and averaged a team-leading 25.0 points to go with 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 38.0 minutes. During his second stint with the Flash, Almond broke the D-League scoring record when he collected 53 points in a win over Bakersfield on Jan. 30. Almond has appeared in nine regular season games for the Jazz this season.

BANKS HONORED: Los Angeles D-Fender forward Sean Banks was yesterday named D-League.com Performer of the Week for games played during the week of March 31. In two games last week, he averaged 32.0 points and 6.5 rebounds including a 38-point performance against the Arsenal in Anaheim on Saturday. Banks was previously honored for the week of Feb. 2.
