SATURDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Saturday's D-League games
v Justin Bowen led the way for Austin with 26 points and 10 rebounds, also chipping in with seven assists in the win over Anaheim as teammate Marcus Williams contributed with 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists on the night.
v Anaheim's Marcus Campbell scored 20 and grabbed 14 rebounds in the loss.
v Kasib Powell finished with 32 points and eight rebounds for the Skyforce as Sioux Falls defeated the Bakersfield Jam. Chris Alexander joined the winning effort with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
v Bakersfield's Justin Reed finished with 32 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in the loss to Sioux Falls.
v David Noel, on assignment from the Milwaukee Bucks, finished with a game-high 37 points to go with nine rebounds and five assists as the Tulsa 66ers defeated the Colorado 14ers in double overtime. Jeremy Kelly (10 points, 14 assists) and Mike Hall (13 points, 12 rebounds) each contributed with a double-double.
v Eddie Gill led the way for Colorado in the overtime loss with 33 points and 12 assists, while Elton Brown had a 19-point, 19-rebound double-double.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS...a look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games
Eight players with D-League experience competed in five NBA games last night. Here are the highlights:
v Ime Udoka finished with eight points and five rebounds in 19 minutes for the San Antonio Spurs.
v Philadelphia's Louis Williams scored 13 points in 24 minutes for the 76ers.
v Bobby Simmons netted 11 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists for the Milwaukee Bucks.
BARRETT EARNS CALLUP: Austin Toros guard Andre Barrett yesterday earned the 16th GATORADE Call-Up of the season when he was signed by the Los Angeles Clippers. Barrett wasted no time, as he suited up last night and played five minutes at the STAPLES Center against the Detroit Pistons.
