TODAY AT NOON ET: The 2005-06 All-NBA Development League team will be announced.
CHAMPIONSHIP NUMBERS: The Fort Worth Flyers magic number to clinch a host position (either first or second seed) in the 2006 NBA Development League Championship Presented by Delta Air Lines is three (3). The Flyers magic number to secure a postseason spot is two (2).
MARK YOUR CALENDAR: The Florida at Roanoke game, postponed on Feb. 17 due to weather issues, will be played Tuesday (3/28) at the Roanoke Civic Center.
MELVIN EARNS HIS SPURS: The San Antonio Spurs signed Fayetteville guard Melvin Sanders for the remainder of the season. In four stints with the Spurs this season he has played in 11 games, averaging 7.6 minutes, 2.5 points and 1.6 rebounds. In 19 games with the Patriots he averaged 14.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 32.2 minutes per game.
BE SURE TO WRITE: If Albuquerque is to hold on to their spot in the postseason and the momentum that has produced six wins in seven games, the Thunderbirds will have to do it between jet and bus rides. Coach Michael Cooper's club, currently third in the standings, plays its final five games on the road. The T-Birds are 8-11 away from Tingley this year.
THEY SAID IT: "Before then, I thought I had a jinx or something against me. But now I'm feeling more comfortable...I'm learning every day. I'm getting better every day. Can't ask for much more." ... current Warriors and former Roanoke guard Will Bynum told the San Francisco Chronicle on getting four points, three assists and two steals in 14 minutes against Dallas.
