Published on December 22, 2008 under NBA G League (G League) News Release
The NBA Development League will hold its annual NBA D-League Showcase from Monday, Jan. 5 - Thursday, Jan. 8 as the NBA D-League's 16 teams converge on Orem, Utah, home of the Utah Flash, for four days of competition. All 16 Showcase games will be streamed via NBA Futurecast, a platform that provides live, online video streaming to fans, on NBA.com and NBADLeague.com. NBA D-League Central, hosted by Rick Kamla, will air on Monday, Jan. 5 at 3 p.m. ET to discuss the latest news regarding the Showcase.
The 16 game slate compliments the season-long NBA Futurecast schedule, which features every NBA D-League game streamed live for free online. NBA TV features an NBA D-League game of the week every Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. ET with the studio show D-League Central airing 30 minutes prior to game coverage.
This is the fifth year of the NBA D-League Showcase, an event that serves as the premier destination for NBA general managers and scouts to check out the NBA D-League's top prospects in action.

This year's top prospects playing in the NBA D-League include Reno Bighorns guard Patrick Ewing, Jr. Iowa Energy center Courtney Sims, Colorado forward James Mays, Rio Grande Vally guard Smush Parker, and Idaho center Jermareo Davison.
