NBA-bound Seamus Boxley to play for Chinooks

Portland, Oregon – May 20, 2005. The International Basketball League ("IBL") team Portland Chinooks, owned and operated by local businessman Terry Emmert, announced today that former Portland State University star and NBA hopeful Seamus Boxley will join the Chinooks roster and will play in tonight's game against the Tacoma Thunder in Portland.

Boxley is the reigning defensive player of the year in the Big Sky Conference and has set numerous season records, including scoring and blocked shots. Boxley is also the career leader in field goal percentage at PSU. He is ranked 17th in the nation in scoring.

Boxley joins the Chinooks Roster, which includes former PSU teammates, Blake Walker, Antone Jarrell and Will Funn, along with IBL scoring leaders Terrance Green, Byron Johnson, and Lincoln Smith.

The Chinooks kick-off a tripleheader playing the Tacoma Thunder tonight, Central Oregon Hotshots on Saturday in Bend and back home against the Hotshots on Sunday.
