October 27, 2019 - NBA G League (G League)
Northern Arizona Suns News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Northern Arizona Suns announced today they have set their training camp roster for the 2019-20 season.
The Suns will break camp with 16 players on Monday, a roster that consists of four returning players, one Two-Way player, four affiliate players, three players selected in the 2019 NBA G League Draft, and four local tryout players.
Aaron Epps, ShawnDre Jones, Daxter Miles Jr., and Trayvon Palmer are all returning to the NAZ Suns in 2019-20, which will mark the second year in Prescott Valley for each of them. The four players combined for 146 games played last season for the NAZ Suns, including 49 apiece by Epps and Miles.
Jared Harper will be with the NAZ Suns on a Two-Way contract with the Phoenix Suns. He's logged one regular season game with Phoenix this season, a year after leading Auburn to the NCAA Final Four.
Four affiliate players join the NAZ Suns, as David Krämer, Norense Odiase, Tariq Owens and Troy Williams were all members of the Phoenix Suns during their preseason. Krämer has played professionally the last four years for Ratiopharm Ulm of the Basketball Bundesliga in Germany. Odiase and Owens both helped lead Texas Tech to the NCAA national championship game last year. Williams has been in the NBA G League the last three seasons with three different teams; Stockton Kings, Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Iowa Wolves.
The NAZ Suns acquired three players from the 2019 NBA G League Draft, two of which they drafted themselves, the other they traded for immediately after the draft. They drafted Anthony Lawrence II with the first overall pick and Keljin Blevins with the 15th overall pick. They traded for Miles Reynolds, who was drafted by the Long Island Nets with the 27th overall pick.
Brandon Alston, James Daniel III, Jaron Hopkins and Stephen Ugochukwu have all made the NAZ Suns training camp as local tryout players.
