SAN ANTONIO -- The Northwest Arkansas Naturals (51-72/26-27) dropped a tightly contested contest to the San Antonio Mission ( 61-64/25-30) on Saturday night at Nelson Wolff Stadium by a final score of 2-1. RHP Matt Murray (1-5, 4.17) tossed his first quality start of the season in the loss.

Murray allowed two runs in the early stages of the game while scattering seven hits and recording four strike outs in the defeat. Murray commanded the zone well all night and did not allow a walk while LHP Brandon Finnegan followed suit to toss two scoreless frames in relief of Murray. Finnegan's ERA has dwindled to a minuscule 1.17 on the season in five outings for Northwest Arkansas.

The Naturals tallied their lone run - an unearned run - against the Missions' starter RHP James Needy (9-4, 2.71) using two errors by Diego Goris in the fourth inning.

Mitch Maier tallied a pair of singles and Micah Gibbs added the third hit for Northwest Arkansas on Saturday night.

With the loss, the series finale will act as a rubber match. For the Naturals, it is their fourth straight series with a rubber game. Northwest Arkansas has yet to announce a starter for the series finale, but they will face off against LHP Robbie Erlin who will make his third rehab start for the Missions tomorrow. First pitch is set for 6:05p.m. on Sunday evening.

You can catch all live play-by-play action for the game with the Voice of the Naturals Benjamin Kelly on your home for the Naturals 92.1 the Ticket for a 5:50p.m. Indigo Sky Casino Pregame Show leading up to first pitch.
