Nationals Weekend Packed with Fireworks and Fun

WOODBRIDGE, Va.-The Potomac Nationals want to give back to their fans in 2008 by giving them something every time they come to the ballpark. Last week the P-Nats announced a lot of exciting promotions and giveaways for each month of the season. Along with all of those great events, the P-Nats wanted to make sure every day of the week had something for the fans as well.

As fans know, the Potomac Nationals like to put on a show, the best of which comes every Saturday night home game at Pfitzner Stadium. Just like in years past, Saturday night home games will be "Fireworks Night" as American Fireworks will be lighting up the sky with some of the best fireworks in Northern Virginia. Most people have to wait until the Fourth of July every year for fireworks and then get to see one show and have to wait another year. P-Nats fans get the chance to see a fireworks show every Saturday home game all summer long.

"As we've been out in the community visiting schools and volunteer organizations, one of the biggest things we hear from our fans is how much they love our fireworks show," said Public Relations Manager Susanna Hall.

The dates for Fireworks Night are as follows: April 12 April 19 May 3 May 24 May 31 June 7 June 21 July 5 July 19 August 2 August 23

When kids go to a baseball game, there are most likely two things they dream of getting; a foul ball and an autograph. The Potomac Nationals wanted to make sure at least one of these dreams comes true for them. Every Sunday game is "Autograph Sunday" where two Potomac Nationals players will have a table set up 45 minutes prior to the game in order to sign autographs. This is the perfect opportunity for fans to turn their souvenirs into genuine sports memorabilia.

The dates for Autograph Sunday are as follows: April 13 April 20 May 4 May 25 June 1 June 8 June 22 July 6 August 3 August 24

P-Nats fans, don't forget that kids run the bases all weekend long, Friday through Sunday at the "Pfitz."

Season tickets and ticket packages for the upcoming 2008 season are on sale now and single-game tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 24th, starting at 10:00 a.m. For more information, call the Nationals ticket office at (703) 590-2311 ext. 215. The P-Nats kick off the 2008 season on the road against the Salem Avalanche on April 4 and celebrate Opening Day at Pfitzner Stadium on April 8 against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
