Nate Colwell Player Profile
February 25, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Brookings Blizzard News Release
Nate Colwell was born on January 16th of 1996 to parents Rob and Pam Colwell. He has one brother named Alec. Nate considers his hometown to be Sioux City, Iowa, but attended Dakota Ridge High School just outside of Denver, Colorado. A late addition to the Brookings Blizzard, arriving on New Years Day, Nate is billeted by Tim and Lynal Jensen and has two billet brothers, Egan and Max.
As far as hockey goes, Nate has been playing since the age of three. Before coming to Brookings, he played for the Corpus Christi Icerays. As a 6'2" Forward for the Blizzard this season, Nate sees his fair share of success. He currently has 17 points in 17 games. When asked about his other hobbies, Nate said hockey is pretty much it.
Just as some of the Blizzard fans, Nate's favorite part of Brookings so far is indeed, his roommate, Beau Michaud. Nate plans to go to college after Junior Hockey and hopefully play hockey there. He wishes to be an astronaut when he grows up. Nate's goals for this season echo the rest of the team as he wishes to make the Robertson Cup with the Blizzard.
