Orange County Flyers News Release
SP Mike Natale dealt eight strong innings to help the Flyers sweep St. George out of town and move Orange County to 2-4.
Natale struck out eight and walked none, while giving up five hits to earn his third win of the season.
The Flyers scored all their runs in the 4th inning and then held on the rest of the way. Garry Templeton II and Aaron Davis drove in all the runs to put the Flyers up 3-0.
St. George (0-4) scored both their runs on solo homeruns. Dustin Hicks hit one in the 5th inning and Geoff Wagner followed suit in the 7th.
Shannon Sprouse pitched into the 7th inning for the Roadrunners and then gave way to former Flyers pitcher Jamie Douglas. Douglas pitched 1.2 scoreless innings of relief.
The Flyers head out on a six-game road trip against the Chico Outlaws and Reno Silver Sox starting Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. on KWRM 1370.
