FAIRPORT, NY - The Rochester Jr. Americans, the latest expansion franchise in the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are set to deliver an exhilarating weekend of hockey action at the Rochester Ice Center. Facing off against the Northeast Generals, the team invites the community to two distinctive events: $1 Hot Dog Night on Friday and Military Appreciation Night on Saturday.

Friday: $1 Hot Dog Night

On Friday, Nov. 17 at 7:45 pm, fans can indulge in the excitement while savoring the flavors of $1 Hot Dog Night. The Jr. Americans encourage fans to bring their appetites delicious hot dogs at an unbeatable price. It's an evening that promises action-packed hockey for an affordable and family-friendly experience.

Saturday: Military Appreciation Night

On Saturday night, the Jr. Americans will host Military Appreciation Night, a game centered around paying tribute to our nation's heroes. In a gesture of gratitude, all game revenue from Saturday's clash will be donated to Fairport's Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8495. It's an opportunity for fans to come together and show their support for the Jr. Americans while at the same time contribute to a positive cause. Adding to the excitement, the Jr. Americans will hit the ice in special one-of-a-kind military-themed jerseys, creating a meaningful connection to the evening's theme.

Coaching Duo and Upgraded Facilities

Former Amerk Francois Methot and long-time NHL All-Star Brian Gionta lead the Jr. Americans in their inaugural season in the NAHL. The team calls the Rochester Ice Center home, a venue that has undergone $2 million in upgrades to accommodate the new franchise and enhance the overall spectator experience. Additionally, it is the hope that this weekend's action will be the grand reveal of the team's new videoboard.

The Jr. Americans welcome media coverage of the weekend's events. All members of the media will be granted free admission to document the games.
