
Mystics Sign Jacobs To Offer Sheet

Washington, D.C. - The Washington Mystics have signed 5-foot-8 point guard Amber Jacobs from the Minnesota Lynx to an offer sheet. Per WNBA rules, the Minnesota Lynx have until March 15th to match the offer.
Jacobs was selected in the third round (33rd overall) of the 2004 WNBA draft by the Minnesota Lynx. In 2007, she averaged 3.2 points per game and 1.4 assists per game. In 2006, Jacobs had her best season where she recorded career-highs in every category. She averaged 8.2 points per game, 3.4 assists per game, and 2.6 rebounds per game. In four seasons with the Lynx, Jacobs' career averages are as follow: 4.6 points per game, 2.1 assists per game and 1.3 rebounds per game.
A graduate of Boston College, Jacobs led the Eagles to their first Big East Championship in 2004. During her senior year, she received numerous honors, including All-Big EAST second team and Associated Press honorable mention All-American.
The Washington Mystics will tip off the 2008 season on Saturday, May 17th, on the road against the Indiana Fever.
