Watertown Privateers News Release
Milwaukee - The Milwaukee Mustangs are excited to announce that wide receiver Ernest Smith will be rejoining the Mustangs roster for the 2012 season.
Smith (6'3, 200, Baylor University) returns to the Milwaukee Mustangs for a second season at the Bradley Center. Smith rallied alongside his teammates in an outstanding number of games in 2011 that were decided in the last seconds of the games.
The New Orleans native traveled to Texas after Hurricane Katrina and ultimately made his way to Wisconsin where he currently runs with the Mustangs' stampede. Smith played in ten games, starting in seven for the Mustangs in 2011. He caught 67 passes for 771 yards with five touchdowns on the season.
An outstanding athletic product of Baylor University, Smith attended the San Diego Chargers' training camp in 2010 and was signed as an undrafted free agent. Smith demonstrated his talent on the field during his best season as a junior at Baylor in 2009 when his 33-yard TD option pass against Wake Forest made ESPN's Top 10 Plays list.
The Milwaukee Mustangs are looking forward to the 2012 AFL season and the return of WR Ernest Smith. SEASON TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW! For more information visit mkemustangs.com or call 414-224-2000 today!
