YOUNGSTOWN GETS ONE LAST WIN - With five goals in the third period and two from Jeff Christian, the Youngstown SteelHounds defeated the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs 8-3 on Friday night at the CenturyTel Center.

BUGS RESPOND VERSUS OKC - With two power play goals, a four-on-four goal, and a shorthanded empty-netter, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs defeated the Oklahoma City Blazers on Saturday night in front of a sellout crowd of 7,708 fans.

AUSTIN GRABS SHOOTOUT WIN - Despite a Scott Sheppard hat trick, the Mudbugs were defeated in a shootout on Sunday night by the Austin Ice Bats at the CenturyTel Center in the conclusion of their three-game homestand.

BUGS CRUISE IN MEMPHIS, 6-1 - On Tuesday night, the Mudbugs made their final trip of the season to the DeSoto Civic Center and dominated the Memphis RiverKings, 6-1. The win was the Mudbugs' seventh of the year in ten games against their division rivals and improves their overall record to 37-14-8 this season.

MUDBUGS STARS OF THE WEEK Scott Sheppard - Scored his third hat trick of the year on Sunday versus Austin

David Cacciola - Made a career-high 43 saves on Tuesday versus Memphis for a 6-1 win

Blair Manning - Now leads the Mudbugs in scoring with 65 points

MUDBUGS IN THE COMMUNITY Friday March 17th - Citizen's National Bank - Mudbugs players will appear at the grand opening of Citizen's National Bank on Stockwell Road in Bossier City at 10:00 a.m.

POWER PLAY AT BUFFALO WILD WINGS ON WEDNESDAY- Next week, the final regular season edition of "Power Play with Scott Muscutt" will take place on Wednesday March 22nd at 6:00 p.m. from Buffalo Wild Wings.

MUDBUGS NOTES - Blair Manning has a twelve-game point scoring streak and Brett Smith has a ten-game point scoring streak entering this weekend..... Scott Sheppard has scored goals in four straight games and has a total of seven during that span. He has scored goals in 24 of his 33 CHL games this year..... Four of the Mudbugs' final five regular season games will be played at home.

MUDBUGS IN THE PLAYOFFS - The Mudbugs have won their third straight Northeast Division title and will appear in the playoffs for the eighth time in their nine-year history. They will face either Wichita or Oklahoma City in the best-of-seven first round of the playoffs (both teams are currently tied in points for the third and fourth seeds).

WOMEN'S HOCKEY 103! - This Sunday, the Mudbugs will host their annual "Women's Hockey 103" clinic at the CenturyTel Center from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Women of all ages are invited to come and learn the rules of hockey from the Mudbugs players. THIS WEEK - This week, the Mudbugs will begin their final homestand of the regular season as they host the Wichita Thunder on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. at the CenturyTel Center. The Mudbugs will wear special St. Patrick's Day jerseys sponsored by Ozark Production Company and the first 1,000 fans will receive NEXTEL Cheerstix. On Saturday, the Mudbugs will face the Tulsa Oilers for the first time this season.
